Autumn School 2025
We had our first bigger outing with the second cohort at our Autumn school 2025 in the „Bergström Hotel“ in Lüneburg. We were all a bit taken back by the number of people who attended, with two cohorts together this time. We very much enjoyed having our Mercator Fellow Nic Stonehouse join us for engaging scientific discussions and networking opportunities to get to know one another.
Summer School 2025
For our Summer School 2024 on Translational Vaccinology we revisited the „Seehof“ in Ratzeburg and enjoyed invited talks by Thomas Pietschmann, Dave Stuart, our Mercator fellow Félix Rey, Wolfgang Hammerschmidt, as well as getting some more insights into the path to industry by Sebastian Goy and Simon Schröder from the DZIF TMPO, Sophia Reindl from Boehringer-Ingelheim and Ilaria Ferlenghi from GSK plc. Siena.
Autumn School 2024
Autumn School 2024 in the „Altes Stahlwerk“ in Neumünster, with an exciting introduction into Virology including talks by Mario Schelhaas and Martin Schwemmle, a workshop on light microscopy by Roland Thünauer and a lecture by Jens Bohne on biosafety and dual use.
Spring School 2024
Spring School 2024 in the „Seehof“ in Ratzeburg, offering a course in structure prediction and validation of predicted models in addition to two inspiring lectures by Mercator fellows Dr. Felix Rey and Dr. Reidun Twarock.
Autumn School 2023
Autumn school 2023 in the „Wälderhaus“ in Hamburg. An inaugural meeting of PhD students, PIs, and Mercator Fellows, designed to offer ample opportunities for networking and getting to know each other.
